Going the other way?

Hi,

I'm hoping to design a website for our WoW guild - nothing to amazing - but I was wondering if there is an easy way to make an ASP.net application poll the WoW servers to pull down things like a user's current level etc.

I'm aware that Popfly can do it so it stands to reason that ASP.net can do it in some way?

Any ideas?

There are two existing CodeProject projects that allow you to do this

  1. Roll your own by using the WoWArmoryParser project at http://www.codeplex.com/WoWArmoryParser and just build an ASP.NET page using the data
  2. Use DotNetNuke and specifically the .NET WoW Guild Roster project at http://www.codeplex.com/WowGuildRoster which is a custom module for members of a guild.

Hope this helps,
